Nature is my muse.
I can't recall a time when I wasn't fascinated by nature – the complex textures, fissures, lines, undulations and all the other vast visual richness it provides.
My work is admittedly done in fits and starts. While my time is still centered around my career and business, I am always thinking, designing, preparing for that delicious time when I can put these ideas onto canvas or paper or any other surface I can dream of!
When I start a painting, I generally have an idea of the theme or feeling or concept that I'm looking to convey. Yet, as the work progresses, the experience becomes a journey in and of itself – new things come into view, colors and media react and change, and options become numerous. As they say, "the journey is really the reward." I will attest to that.
